[2023/11/03 16:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leesha and the orc trade mighty blows! The orc slashes Leesha and badly wounds her, just as Leeshas' battle wrench swings round and caves his head in! He pitches forwards and rolls over, killed instantly, his eyes wide with surprise.

We've got these for digging, crafting, and, well, playing dice and causing a bit of mischief, too."
She leans forward, her eyes filled with an earnest gleam

[2023/11/03 17:06] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Huh? What?" "Big greenie dead!" "We get back to dice, big greenie no big meanie, stop us."
[2023/11/03 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: The goblins scoop up the dice and settle around the pot, and start rolling. "You play too?"

[2023/11/03 17:10] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at Debben and Dahlia as she tries to search big greenie
[2023/11/03 17:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Yeah, I do." She volunteers to keep the goblins distracted while Leesha and Dhalia figure out the exits.

[2023/11/03 18:00] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): Dahlia stands outside the wooden door, her heart pounding in her chest. Pressing her ear against the cold, weathered wood. Her emerald-green eyes are wide with anticipation, hidden beneath the curtain of her long lashes.
Her breaths are shallow, and the hushed voices from the room beyond the door intensify her curiosity. She closes her eyes for a moment to focus solely on the muffled words and emotions seeping through the crack. Her ears strain, capturing every syllable, every sigh, every subtle shift in tone.
Turning toward her companions then to whisper, "I have no idea how these goblins know my name..."

As her thoughts drifted back to that one special book that seemed to have led them to where they are now. , "It must have something to do with that book I agree", still whispering , while thinking on what was being said and planned.

[2023/11/03 18:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: The door flies open, and you see... Goblin shaman and three devoted followers (all in dark robes) are brewing up something nasty in a cauldron.

[2023/11/03 18:17] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): Dahlia, entered the eerie room, she immediately saw the goblin shaman in the darkness and its compatriots, a grotesque goblin with gnarled features and wicked gleaming eyes emerged, brandishing something it used to stir the cauldron.
Dahlia, with her untrained reflexes and almost no combat experience, knew she had to act swiftly. With fierce determination and no real melee skill, she raised her flail, aiming straight for the nearest goblin's chest, a look of unyielding resolve mixed with a sense of getting into something beyond her ability, easily seen in her eyes.

[2023/11/03 18:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: Untrained is right; the flail leaves Dahlias' grasp and hits the goblin in the chest before bouncing back and falling to the floor

[2023/11/03 18:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: They just stare at Debben, and the illusion has no effect
[2023/11/03 18:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: The meanest looking one stabs at Leesha with a dagger, and misses
[2023/11/03 18:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: The three shaman likewise stab at Leesha (miss), Dahlia (hit), Debben (miss)

[2023/11/03 18:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: Other than it's bubbling, green, full of wierd lumps that rise and fall to the surface, and there appears to be an eye floating in it - not much
[2023/11/03 18:29] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): Amidst the chaos of the fight, Dahlia, moved with determination and grace, her every step a testament to her lack of training and steadfast courage. Her weapon, a sleek and not so lethal farming implement, was an extension of herself, always ready to defend against the relentless onslaught of whatever happened to be attacking. As the skirmish raged on, It slipped from her fingers and tumbled to the ground, its wooden clatter lost amidst the cacophony of the rest of what was happening near.
Her heart raced as she realized she was now unarmed, vulnerable in the midst of the battle. Her eyes darted to the fallen weapon, her lifeline, lying just out of reach. Dahlia's face twisted in frustration and determination as she made a split-second decision. She left the weapon behind and instead reached within to her divine connection about as strong as newly recruited cleric could be expected to have. Casting then her fledgling healing magic to close the wound stepping back to look to see if there was something else

[2023/11/03 18:33] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: She's gonna use her spear to stab at the one who stabbed at her, shouting at them. "Rot sucking muck rakers! What horrifying, ecologically hazardous potion-slime are you cooking up today?!"

"BBBBLLLLLAAAAHHHH!!!" and down he falls... the acolytes freeze and stare, and with the shaman dead... we get the wibbly wobbly 80s video effect as you are yanked back to the presence of the Fey Queen, Astrid, sitting on her treestump. "Ah. I see you, ah, 'convinced' the goblin to break the last curse. Well done!"

[2023/11/03 18:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: "When the goblins attacked, Dahlia protected the book, and kept it from him, and saved us from disaster. That's why she had the worst curse of all - not just transformed, but with her memory cleared of past events."
[2023/11/03 18:43] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben nods, wobbling a little bit but otherwise holding steady. "Will he stay down, do you think?"
[2023/11/03 18:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: "You put a spear right through him... the curse should finally break... right about... now..." and POP! Dahlia disappears! Or... not quite... just as before, there is now a 1' tall flying pixie where Dahlia was. "...there she is. Welcome back to your proper form, Dahlia."

No sign of cart or horse, but the village isn't far, and a nice drink and lunch at the tavern does sound like a good idea...
